The Sonoma Valley Birth Center (SVBC) was our second stand-alone facility, the only one of its kind in Sonoma County. Like its sister facility in Napa, SVBC is medically equipped and staffed by trained and licensed caregivers. It is in a convenient location with high-end amenities and a comfortable vibe. At SVBC, we understand pregnancy and childbirth to be a natural biological process, not a medical condition. For the vast majority of pregnancies (at least 80% according to world health advisories), medical intervention is not necessary. But when rare complications do occur, we are less than 4 minutes from Sutter Santa Rosa emergency room and expert medical care.
SVBC is staffed and operated by The Midwives Childbirth Services and their licensed and highly experienced midwives and birth assistants. The services we offer span all stages of pregnancy from prenatal to childbirth to postpartum care. For a more detailed description of those services, tap here.
