Deborah (Fawn) Studebaker LM, CPM
I started my journey to become a midwife 47 years ago, while pregnant with my second child. My first birth had been in a hospital, and it was extremely traumatic. In the process of searching for a better way I discovered midwifery and homebirth. Not only had I found a better way, I had found my calling!
After apprenticing for three years with several Midwives and a OBGYN, I started a practice in San Luis Obispo. I then moved to Napa where I served pregnant moms for over 12 years, before moving to Sacramento where I founded Sacramento Midwifery Services. I am honored and blessed to have supported over 1000 moms and babies in one of the most important events of their lives.
One of my favorite parts of being a midwife is educating and empowering women to take control. To trust their bodies and realize they were made to give birth! I am so happy to be back in Napa and look forward to meeting you!
